Scrub-a-dub-dub. For those of us south of the equator Winter is officially upon us, which means it’s time to give our dry skin lots of love.
These scrubs are almost too easy to make– the most difficult part is deciding on what scent to use. If your skin is particularly sensitive back down the sugar quantity slightly and omit the essential oils.
You will need:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (the more you use, the coarser the scrub)
- 1/2 cup organic virgin coconut oil
- Glass jar with lid, washed with hot soapy water, rinsed and dried well
- Mixing bowl and spoon
- Optional: a few drops of essential oils (I love lavender, grapefruit or peppermint) and dried flowers
Place sugar, coconut oil and essential oil into your mixing bowl and stir well to combine. Scoop into your jar and top with dried flowers. See what I mean about being too easy?
These also make a great (and inexpensive) gift for friends and family. Enjoy!
