Nothing says “I love you” like margaritas, right? 😉 Well, at least they do in my house…
Now for a no-brainer cocktail for you and your Valentine (or galentine) to enjoy. Remember, whipping up a cocktail or two at home doesn’t need to be rocket science. If you’re new at at-home cocktail making, blended margaritas are a great place to start– they’re a guaranteed crowd pleaser and you’ll look like a boss mixologist at the same time.
This recipe uses a mixture of frozen berries, so mix-and-match to suit your personal taste. I always have a bag on hand in the freezer, which is a godsend when quality fruit is out of season or I’m entertaining but forgot to chill the champagne.
You will need:
- 1 cup frozen berries of your choice (I used raspberries and blackberries) plus extra to serve
- 6 strawberries (fresh or frozen), hulled
- 2 fl oz (60 ml) 100% Agave blanco tequila
- 1/2 tbs agave syrup diluted in ½ tbs warm water
- 2 oz fresh orange juice
- juice ½ lime
In a blender combine the all of your ingredients. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth. Taste for sweetness, adding more agave if the berries are too tart. Blend again.
Pour into glasses and garnish with extra berries. Serve immediately.
Makes 2 margaritas.
